We Used to Call It Overset
25. July 2009 by pat desmond.
This year we have been holding back photos and stories.
The problem is our we need more revenue to expand the size of the paper. When will the real estate market be back? And will the real estate companies ever return to print media?
I have one photo that will be in the Milton Times this Thursday. A photo of one of the symbols of the community. A free band concert where kids run freely and older people smile.
Pauline Wells and the Irish band Devri played at the Gazebo band concert in Milton tonight.
She has such a wonderful voice.
The concert was supposed to happen earlier this week. Until a few hours before the concert it was unclear whether the weather would cooperate.
The concert was sponsored by the Copeland Family Foundation. Joyce Tobin was on hand to listen to the amazing music. The crowd was amazing since the night was only planned after the rain-out on Tuesday.
Of course Police Chief Richard Wells was there to hear his wife sing. And so were many of their family members.
I know I can find space for one photo this week but many more will have to wait in what we used to call overset.
It’s another case of “All the news that fits.”
